Adult Music Performance Classes

Registration/Payment - register by phone at 207-967-9120 or at the front desk with your payment before the deadline. In either case, payment by check or credit card is required to hold your place in a class or workshop. Deadline: Please register no later than one week prior to the first meeting of the class. All classes have minimum and maximum enrollment requirements, so early registration will improve the chances of a class running or filling up without you! As always, please let us know if you need partial or full scholarship assistance. We are located in Lower Village, 35 Western Avenue, Kennebunk.

Deb Gordon
A new theatre class has begun at River Tree Arts, highlighting the hidden talents of adults and teens in the Kennebunks. Under the direction of RTA faculty Deb Gordon, participants will recreate West Side Story to celebrate the film’s 50 year anniversary. Gordon encourages everyone who is interested to attend this class. No experience is necessary to learn the acting, singing and dancing this story is known for.
“I am excited to be a part of this adult theater class as this gives amateurs like me a chance to participate in local musical theater!” says participant Nichole Raftopoulos. “I feel like there are no opportunities locally to do musical theater for non-professional people who just want to participate for fun.”

During the 12 week class, participants will become comfortable performing on stage. The class finale will be a stage performance for friends and family. Deb Gordon is the former director of the annual Chebeague Island community theatre productions as well as the founder of the touring women’s accapella group, Zemya.
