A painter, papermaker, and printmaker, Gayle has had one-woman shows in New York, Chicago, Washington DC, the Ogunquit Art Association, and other galleries in Maine Her award-winning works are frequently exhibited in national and international juried shows.

A member of Maine Crafts Association, International Association of Hand Papermakers & Paper Artists, Gayle teaches papermaking, printmaking, drawing and book arts.
