George Geyerhahn, Artist

George earned a BS in photography and an MS in Instructional Design from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MS in Adult Education from University of Southern Maine. His photographic experience includes medical, television news and freelance photography, as well as deep space photography for the United States Air Force.

George’s photographic influences include Ansel Adams, Minor White, Yousuf Karsh. George encourages students to apply their knowledge and limitations of photographic systems and to pre-visualize the images that will result from their photography.

George’s philosophy is that a photograph is as much a reflection of what the photographer ‘sees’ as a reflection of the photographer’s soul.
