Ingrid Roeder, Artist

Ingrid received her BFA in Studio Drawing from the University of Southern Maine in 2004. I continued my education receiving an MA in Theology from The Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago in 2008. She went on in her education to be a Theologian to be a better artist and to bring her to a higher level of spiritual awareness in my work.

Making books as pieces of art has been a passion of hers for the past ten years. Ingrid usually produces them as gifts for friends and family at Christmas. She says they now expect and hope for them every year.

She is currently working on a series of oil paintings for an exhibit this fall. My work is consistently abstract, about color and mark making.
