Registration Policies for Art & Group Music Classes

Drop-in Rates for 2011/2012 Group Classes:
Adult 3 hour: $35, Adult 2 hour: $25
Children Afterschool: $15, Children morning classes: $12

Registration Information:
Registration takes place prior to the beginning of each session. Select classes accept rolling enrollment. Students are not considered registered until payment has been made. If bringing a check to the first class, RTA requires a credit card on file. Your card will not be charged if a check payment has been made on the first class. Students who do not come to the first class after registering will be charged the full amount for the class.

Withdrawal and Refund Policy:
If you withdraw from a course at least one week prior to the first class, you will receive a 100% refund of tuition. If you withdraw lees than a week before the first class, you will receive a refund of 50%. There are no refunds once a class begins. If RTA cancels a course, all fees will be refunded. If you have been issued a credit towards a future class, credit must be used within one year of issue.

Cancellation Policy
If RSU 21 closes due to inclement weather, adult & children’s classes will be canceled and made up at the end of the session.

Conditions:
Adults 18 or older may register for Adult Classes. Students under 18 must have the prior OK of RTA staff, unless class is designated Adult & Teen. River Tree Arts reserves the right to cancel courses, substitute instructors, change course times, and limit enrollment.
Every attempt will be made to run after school classes in the event the primary instructor is not available: this includes substitute teachers and/or changing the class theme for the day.
RTA will assume no responsibility for any loss, personal or physical.
With enrollment, a student consents to being photographed in classes or activities. These photographs may be used by RTA in future promotional efforts without specific written permission from the student. Parents must notify RTA staff if they do not want their child photographed.
Students who create a distracting or challenging environment may be dismissed without refund after a faculty warning and conference with the parent.

Private Music Lesson Registration Policies

Registration takes place prior to the beginning of each session

All fees and tuition must be paid by the first lesson. Monthly payment plans are available; students must pay by credit card to be enrolled. Registration fees and deferred payment fees are non-refundable. If paying in full prior to the start of the new session, a 5% discount will be applied to your fee.
A $15 deferred payment fee will be added to all payment plans each session. When registering, RTA charges a fee of $20.00 per new student, which includes determining skill level, matching the student with the appropriate teacher and scheduling.

Tuition Refund Policy
Students registering mid-session will be charged for lessons remaining in the session. No refunds are given on tuition after the third lesson.

Attendance Policy
Students are allowed one (1) excused absence per semester. Additional absences are considered unexcused absences and will be charged at the regular lesson rate. Unexcused absences cannot be carried over to the next session for make-ups.. Each semester includes one make-up week to be used for an excused absence or weather cancellation. Additional make-up lessons may be arranged between the student and the teacher. All lessons, classes, and workshops missed because of instructor absence or school closing will be made up.

Return Check Policy
River Tree Arts charges a fee of $25.00 on every returned check.

If RSU 21 closes due to inclement weather, lessons will be canceled and rescheduled. Lessons, classes, and ensembles will not be charged but will be made up if possible. If your teacher cancels your lesson for any reason, the lesson will not be charged to you and rescheduled if possible.
