Vida Urbaite, Artist

I moved to Maine nine years ago from Lithuania. As long as I can remember my life was always surrounded by art. I completed art school in Lithuania which focused on drawing, sculpture, painting, jewelry making. I then completed three years of Graphic Design at The Academy of Arts in Lithuania. Funny things happen: when I was a teenager, I desperately needed a new pair of pants. I decided to sew a pair for myself. I was happy with the result and have never stopped sewing. Today I have my own custom-art sewing studio and my job is my passion. I have been sewing for eighteen years and I would love to share my experience with others.
